{"id":10713,"date":"2022-04-16T08:24:17","date_gmt":"2022-04-16T00:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bruneiastronomy.org\/web\/?p=10713"},"modified":"2022-04-23T12:22:54","modified_gmt":"2022-04-23T04:22:54","slug":"planetary-parades-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bruneiastronomy.org\/web\/2022\/04\/planetary-parades-in-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Planetary Parades in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bandar Seri Begawan &#8211; Catch<\/strong> a special planetary parade this week from April 17 until 23, when the four naked-eye planets &#8211; Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and Venus &#8211; will create a near-perfect line during Sahur (~4.30 am) in the predawn sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Planetary parade refers to an astronomical phenomenon that occurs when the Solar System\u2019s planets gathered in the same part of the sky, as seen from Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rare and most spectacular planet parade of the year will take place in June 2022, when all eight planets (plus dwarf planet Pluto) of the Solar System aligning in the sky. Last time it happened on July 4, 2020 and in 1982, and the next one is expected in 2161.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conjunctions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Catch a series of special astronomical events when the Moon joins the planetary parade from April 24 until April 28, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ramadan\u2019s waning crescent will gather near the planet parade of Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and Venus during Sahur (4.30 am) above the Eastern horizon in the predawn sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the Moon and the planet will come close together in the sky known as conjunction.
