Sun at Zenith Date & Time Finder

By the Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalam | Powered by BruneiAstronomy.org

A phenomenon that occurs when the sun is positioned directly overhead at a specific location, causing vertical objects to cast no shadow - Zero Shadow Day. This happens because the sun’s rays fall perpendicular to the Earth’s surface, making the shadow fall directly beneath the object, effectively rendering it invisible. It can be observed only in regions between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.

Enter your location's latitude, longitude, time zone offset, and a custom year to find the exact date(s) and time(s) when the sun is directly overhead (at a 90-degree angle).

Default is BSB, Brunei Darussalam.

Enter a valid year (e.g., 1900-2100).

Enter a valid value between 0 and 1 (smaller is more precise)

Enter a valid time offset (e.g. -12 to +12).

Enter the latest parameter (e.g. -23.5 to +23.5).
