Note: Displayed times and values are generated based on the astronomical formula and your location which can be approximation. Celestial rise and set times are calculated using a fixed altitude angle of −0.833°, which combines two key components: the apparent semi-diameter (~0.266°) and atmospheric refraction (~0.566°). This value represents how far below the horizon the object's geometric center must be for its upper limb to visually touch the horizon. This method ensures consistent timing for when celestial objects appear to rise or set from an observer’s viewpoint. While this calculation works well for the Sun and planets, which have relatively stable apparent sizes and minimal parallax effects, it may introduce slight inaccuracies for the Moon. Due to its varying apparent diameter and more pronounced lunar parallax, the Moon’s actual rise or set time might differ by a few minutes from this model’s prediction. These lunar-specific factors are not implemented in this algorithm.
