March 18 until March 20, 2020: Three bright planets β Mars, Jupiter and Saturn- will join the crescent moon to form a cosmic cluster in the Eastern sky at dawn from Brunei Darussalam.

Bandar Seri Begawan β People of Brunei will have the
opportunity to name a selected exoplanet and its host star to commemorate the
100th-anniversary celebration of the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
Currently there are a total of
more than 4,000 confirmed planets that orbit stars outside the solar system
known as exoplanets. Most of these exoplanets have no proper names.
NameExoWorlds offers the opportunity for all countries
in the world including Brunei Darussalam to give a name to one exoplanet and
its hosting star.
Due to the recent outbreak of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalam (PABD) has postponed most of our public engagement activities such as stargazing, new moon observation etc. until further notice and focus on implementing Astronomy at Home or in a small group activity. This is in view of prevention and to control the spread of the infection in Brunei Darussalam.
